The Levee Challenge is approaching fast! It’s about time to introduce the two teams of students that are taking part in this educational event.
The Levee Challenge
Students can participate in two categories of the Levee Challenge; the physical challenge and the virtual challenge. The physical challenge takes place in February. The teams of students are asked to repair a damaged levee (2 m wide) in the Hedwige-Prosperpolder as well and efficiently as possible with surface protection measures. The reparation of the levee needs to be sufficient to withstand new overflow tests. This sounds like an interesting assignment! Let’s introduce the two teams taking on this challenge.
Team Hans Brinker
Team Hans Brinker is a team of 4 students from TU Delft, Maarten Buitelaar, Robert Lengkeek, Rolf Rademaker en Jason Wever. See what they are planning to do.
Team Brugse Diek
Team Brugse Diek is a team of KU Leuven students from the Bruges campus, Jadon Beerlandt, Eskill de Witte, Jennifer Derijckere, Louis Debruyne, Louis Dekien and Robbie Barra. See their plan of action in this video.
