Privacy Statement
This is the Privacy Statement for the Polder2C's website. We explain what personal data we collect, why we collect them, how they are processed and what you can do and who you can contact if you have any questions about your personal data.
The Foundation for Applied Water Research STOWA, located at Stationsplein 86 in Amersfoort, is responsible for the processing of personal data via the website www.polder2c’s.eu, as stated in this privacy statement.
STOWA respects the privacy of our website visitors and ensures that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially. Processing of the personal data is done in a manner that is in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Which personal data do we process?
- E-mail address if you sign up for one of our newsletters.
- At least name and e-mail address if you register for an event that is organized by one of the partner organizations of the Polder2C's project. In some cases we also ask for your organization, country and mobile phone number.
We process your personal data because you wish to use our services and because you provide them yourself.
How do we use Google Analytics?
STOWA uses Google's analysis tool, Google Analytics, to analyze visitor behavior on the website in order to improve the website. User IDs are disabled. The collected data cannot be traced to a specific person, computer or address.
How long do we keep your data?
STOWA and partners do not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your data is collected. We use the following periods for the following (categories) of personal data:
Newsletter
We will keep your email address until you indicate that you no longer wish to receive the newsletters. We do this in order to continue sending our newsletters.
We use Mailchimp to prepare and send the newsletters and to process the registrations.
Every newsletter contains a link which you can use to unsubscribe. The lists of subscribers of the newsletters are not shared with third parties.
Events
We will keep your name, email address, organization, country and mobile number for a maximum of two years after the event has ended, or after a request for removal on your part. STOWA and partners use the collected data to facilitate the organization of the event for you.
We keep this information in order to be able to inform you afterwards about the results of the meeting and to inform you personally about future meetings on the same subject.
Sharing personal data
STOWA does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it to comply with legal obligations. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. STOWA remains responsible for these processing operations.
Cookies and comparable techniques
We only use technical, functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not violate your privacy. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and the usability. They ensure that the website works properly and that you can view content from a third party such as YouTube videos. The cookies also enable us to optimize our website. You can disable cookies or delete all information previously saved via your internet browser settings.This may affect your user experience, you will for instance not be able to play the videos. View, adjust or delete data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by STOWA. You also have the right to request a file of the personal data that we have stored about you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to llhpp@stowa.nl.
To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
STOWA points out that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Protecting your personal data
STOWA takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. Our applications and systems are secured in accordance with the requirements of current laws and regulations. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact us at llhpp@stowa.nl.
Age
We do not intend to collect information about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without permission, please contact us at llhpp@stowa.nl and we will delete this information.
