Development of Toolboxes
We want to make sure that our colleagues benefit from our experience in the Polder2C’s project. So all the knowledge that we acquire will be transformed into practical ready to use tools. This facilitates knowledge transfer to future and international colleagues in the 2 Seas region.
Knowledge made available
The knowledge and insights gained from Polder2C’s activities are made available in the form of two toolboxes.
Two toolboxes
The two toolboxes that we are working on are:
- a toolbox about design and life-cycle management of flood defences
- a toolbox about emergency response
Each toolbox contains tools that provide information and guidance applicable at various sites and climate scenarios. The tools can be wiki pages, data centres, guidelines for calculation methods, inspection strategies, checklists and so on. These toolboxes will be accessible for colleagues in the 2 Seas region.
Updates International Handbooks
The toolboxes are the basis upon which updates to the International Levee Handbook and the International Handbook Emergency Response are proposed.
