De Vlaamse Waterweg manages and operates the waterways as a powerful network that contributes to the economy, prosperity and quality of life in Flanders, Belgium.
De Vlaamse Waterweg strengthens transport via inland shipping, ensures water management and increases the attractiveness of the waterways for recreation, tourism and nature experience. From the registered office in Hasselt and departments in Willebroek, Brussels, Antwerp, Merelbeke and Mol, approximately 1,350 employees of the organisation work on a smart, versatile and prosperous waterway network.
