Perception Study Report
Polder2C’s provides a unique opportunity to study flood risk perceptions among citizens in the area close to the Hedwige-Prosperpolder. An important goal of the project is therefore to study whether and if so, how, flood risk perception and evacuation behaviour can be influenced.
Flood Crisis Scenarios
The results of the flood risk perception study will be utilised to inform crisis managers about citizen’s information needs and evacuation behaviour. The real life flood crisis scenario provided by Polder2C’s can hence contribute to future flood crisis scenarios.
Flood risk perception report
The outcomes of the flood risk perception study will be summarised in a report. Our aim is that the findings can help inform crisis managers about citizens’ information needs and evacuation behaviour. Consolidation of knowledge on citizens’ risk perception is an important means to enable a rapid and adequate response to save as many lives as possible during potential future flood crisis situations. The results of the study will therefore also be included in the toolbox emergency response. Do you want to learn more about this toolbox?
